Project Manager (Grade VII)

Location: Dublin / Hybrid
Salary: €58,254 – €67,700

Contract: Specified Purpose Contract

We are currently recruiting for a Grade VII Project Manager to support the delivery of key initiatives within a neurology programme based in the public sector. This specified purpose contract offers the opportunity to work on key national healthcare projects through a hybrid model, based in Dublin.

Reporting directly to the Clinical Lead, the successful candidate will play a central role in the planning, coordination, and execution of service improvement initiatives across the neurology care pathway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for innovation and improved service delivery.
  • Work in partnership with Clinical Leads, advisory groups, and programme teams to define and prioritise improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the development of programme plans, outlining key workstreams, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Manage the day-to-day implementation of programme activities, including workflows and work packages, to ensure outputs are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage their own workload independently, taking ownership of assigned projects and driving them forward with minimal supervision.
  • Support the collection, evaluation, and communication of clinical and service evidence, drawing from both local and international best practice to inform service design.
  • Prepare high-quality, evidence-informed business cases, professional documents, reports, and presentations aligned with programme objectives and national planning processes.
  • Assist with the financial management of projects, including tracking receipts, preparing cost reports, and maintaining oversight of project budgets.
  • Act as a champion for quality improvement at a national level, supporting integrated care across the patient pathway.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience managing complex projects, ideally within the healthcare or public sector.
  • A third-level qualification in project management is highly desirable.
  • Significant experience in creating professional documents and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience dealing with senior management and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience preparing business cases or contributing to service improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge or experience in neurology or a related clinical area is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Irish health system or similar healthcare settings is beneficial.
