Location: GalwayHours: 2 days per week, 8 hours per day (16 hours total)

About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist / Front of House Assistant to join our client's team on a part‑time basis. This is an important, patient‑facing role responsible for creating a welcoming environment, supporting daily clinic operations, and ensuring a smooth experience for all visitors and patients.
The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and approachable manner.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a warm, professional front‑of‑house experienceManage phone, email, and in‑person enquiries in a timely and courteous manner
Schedule, amend, and confirm patient appointments
Maintain an organised reception area and ensure confidentiality at all times
Register new patients and update existing patient information in the practice system
Process payments and provide receipts where required
Liaise with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth daily operations
Manage incoming/outgoing post, deliveries, and documentation
Ensure waiting areas are tidy, comfortable, and compliant with centre standards
Support general administrative duties as needed
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in reception, front‑of‑house, customer service, or administrative roles (medical experience is an advantage but not essential)Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail
Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with medical or booking systems is beneficial
