Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Qualified Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, contributing to key accounting and reporting functions, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Manage general ledger reconciliations and month-end close activities
- Support year-end statutory audit and liaise with external auditors
- Prepare VAT returns, payroll journals, and corporation tax packs
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and process improvements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA, or CIMA)
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent Excel and financial systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
