Finance Manager – Financial Reporting

About the Finance Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a high-performing finance reporting team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a small team, deliver high-quality financial reporting, and play a key role in supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
Produce high-quality annual financial statements for the organisation and related entities.Prepare and review regulatory and other reports for external bodies.
Provide financial information and analysis to support decision-making for both internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain strong internal controls over reporting processes, including monthly control meetings and remediation tracking.
Lead and support two team members, ensuring ongoing development and performance management.
Act as a key point of contact for both internal and external auditors.
Drive continuous improvements within the financial reporting team and lead/participate in corporate projects as required.
Contribute to the preparation and reporting of responses to parliamentary questions and Freedom of Information requests.
Support ad hoc reporting and finance-related projects as needed.
Experience & Skills
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 6 years’ post-qualification experience.Proven experience in financial reporting, ideally within a large and complex organisation.
Experience in managing and developing people.
Strong knowledge of FRS 102.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with team members and senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and deliver process improvements.
