Are you an experienced using Map Road Licensing Systems, with good knowledge of civils practices for road openings, repair, and re-instatement?

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with the leading connected entertainment cable and broadcast business in Ireland, who provide multi award-winning services including superfast broadband, TV, mobile and home phone.

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager and Scheduler to be responsible for the day-to-day management of Road Opening Licences on MRL System essential for delivering projects efficiently and within budget. The Team is responsible for enabling the provision and operational support of the company products to residential and business customers.

This is a hybrid role working in and around Dublin and the surrounding areas on a fixed term contract of up to 18 months, offering a daily rate of €200 pending relevant experience, and paid weekly.

To be considered you must demonstrate at least 4 years in a similar role in a telecommunications/broadband environment with Fibre / CATV and RF Network design skills.

Main duties:

  • Submit daily Road Opening Licence requests via MRL system to include all required elements.
  • Complete any edit requests raised by Local Authority where applicable i.e., supply revised drawings / TMPs etc. when necessary.
  • Once approved by Local Authority, identify any special requests / terms & accept Conditions.
  • Monitor and Track Valid Licences through to closeout stage.
  • Submit "start / stop" notifications and work particulars 7 days prior to works commencement date.
  • Monitor and submit essential Licence Extensions on MRL system and make notification to Contractors.
  • Ensure all works documents are received and aligned with the project i.e. Before / During / After photos, TMPs and TLSO invoices etc.
  • Gather all the relevant information to complete Licence closeout (T5) i.e., Reinstatement Measures / Photos etc.
  • Track Licence validity dates for Final Inspection / Signoff.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience using "Map Road Licencing System"
  • A good knowledge of civils practices for road openings, repair, and re-instatement with a good knowledge of the 'Purple Book’ requirements
  • Knowledge of GIS/Smallworld
  • Four years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Fibre / CATV and RF Network design
  • Knowledge of Local Authorities roadworks codes of practice
  • Project planning and coordination skills
  • SLG accreditation
