Financial Accountant
Location: Bray, Co. Wicklow
Salary: €60,000 – €80,000 DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing multi-entity business seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Bray. This is a senior-level opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership across reporting, controls, compliance, and team support.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the day-to-day finance function across Irish and UK entities while supporting senior leadership with accurate financial reporting and operational insight.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Management
Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reportingProvide detailed variance analysis and commentary for senior management
Manage weekly cashflow reporting across Ireland and UK entities
Complete monthly intercompany reconciliations
Lead the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing cost control
Support the implementation and improvement of financial controls and reporting processes
Tax & Compliance
Prepare and manage VAT returns across Ireland, UK, France, and GermanySubmit VIES and Intrastat returns accurately and on time
Oversee PAYE submissions and coordinate with payroll providers
Manage company insurance renewals and compliance requirements
Maintain credit control and customer exposure processes
Operations & Team Oversight
Oversee SOA verification and ID drawdown processesReview reconciliations and ensure accuracy across the finance team
Provide guidance and support to Finance, AP, and AR staff
Support process improvements and drive efficiencies within the finance function
Act as a senior point of contact for complex finance queries and issue resolution
Requirements
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Strong experience in financial accounting and management reporting
Experience managing multi-entity or international finance operations desirable
Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and financial compliance requirements
Experience leading audits and working with external stakeholders
Strong Excel and finance systems experience
Fluent English, both written and spoken
Must hold a valid work visa for Ireland
