About the Company:
A leading Cork-based manufacturer, known for quality and innovation, is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead all engineering operations and capital investment programmes across a large-scale production site.
About the Role:
This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving site reliability, maintenance excellence, and the successful delivery of major CAPEX and infrastructure projects. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team of engineers and contractors, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with long-term growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the site engineering and maintenance teams.
- Manage large-scale capital investment projects from concept through commissioning.
- Ensure plant reliability and uptime through effective preventive maintenance systems.
- Partner with senior management on strategic site development and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee budgets, contractors, and compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role within manufacturing
- Strong track record delivering CAPEX projects exceeding €1M+.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of utilities, automation, and process improvement.
