We are seeking an experienced Big Data SRE Engineer to join our cloud system engineering department in Dublin. Here, you'll play a key role in maintaining the stability and security of our global cloud services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

What You'll Do:

• Engage in and enhance the entire service lifecycle, from inception to deployment and refinement.
• Collaborate with System Engineers and R&D teams to optimise mission-critical systems across public cloud environments.
• Monitor service availability, latency, and overall health while practising sustainable incident response.
• Design and implement robust big data systems that drive core products.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Kafka, ClickHouse, Hive, and other big data technologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and production-grade services at scale.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of ETL design, dimensional modelling, and strategies for data ingestion and processing.
• Experience in developing tools and APIs to streamline system interactions using scripting standards.
• Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with effective communication skills.
