About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care according to residents' care plans.
  • Understand residents' needs and provide companionship.
  • Assist with mobility and personal hygiene, ensuring dignity.
  • Support residents with eating, drinking, and achieving comfort.
  • Participate in and help organise social activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with families and colleagues.
  • Adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
Contract & Benefits
  • Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Shifts: Day and night (flexibility required)
  • Salary: €14.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • €1,000 relocation package
  • Retention bonus of €800 after two years of service

Requirements:

  • Must possess EU citizenship
  • QQI Level 5 or equivalent i.e. Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Social Care, Special Needs, Nursing Care Technician, Technician in Care for People, Support Worker, Psychology, and/or Nurse qualifications
  • Experience in elderly care is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Excellent organisational and observation skills
  • A professional, caring, and compassionate nature
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
