Position: Permanent, Full-time/Part-time

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in Monaghan. In this role, you will work closely with children and their families, providing family-centred therapy, conducting assessments, and delivering personalised interventions.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions and will thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group therapy to children and adolescents, focusing on family-centred approaches.
  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments and develop tailored interventions based on the needs of the child.
  • Offer teletherapy services to children and families when appropriate.
  • Work closely within the Occupational Therapy team and other Multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client progress using electronic record systems.
  • Provide advice and support to colleagues to enhance service delivery and best practices.
  • Participate in the organisation and facilitation of parent/teacher training sessions, providing education and guidance.
  • Ensure the safety and upkeep of therapy rooms and equipment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the development of others within the team.
  • Participate in promotional and media activities to raise awareness of services offered.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy, accredited for practice in Ireland.
  • At least 1+ years of post-qualification experience in paediatric occupational therapy, ideally with children with neurodevelopmental needs, autism, sensory processing disorders, and developmental conditions.
  • CORU Registration and AOTI membership are essential.
  • Garda Vetting clearance and satisfactory references required.
  • Access to own car for travel to appointments, including school visits.
  • Strong commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
