Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Due to growing demand for our services, Western Alzheimers Mayo are currently recruiting community based Family Support Workers in Claremorris area to provide In-Home Support (non-medical) for people living with dementia and their carers. The primary role will be to provide companionship / support to the person living with dementia which will allow the primary carer a break.Tasks will include social interaction and meaningful activities such as a gentle walk or playing board games. Working hours are 19.5 hours per week and can be flexible. We are looking for honest and reliable individuals to support our clients and their families.
A full drivers licence and access to transport essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to upskill. This is a developmental opportunity – no experience necessary. Comprehensive induction training will be provided. It will also be a stepping stone to becoming a qualified Health Care Assistant through completion of QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification.
