Staff Product Security Engineer – Limerick (4 Days Onsite)

Location: Limerick, Ireland (4 days onsite required)
Responsibilities- Guide and mentor the Product Security team, including junior engineer development
- Drive security planning, prioritisation, and delivery across products
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Integrate secure-by-design principles into all phases of the product lifecycle
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management
- Collaborate with R&D, IT, Quality, and Regulatory teams
- Translate security strategy into actionable implementation plans
- Perform code reviews and provide actionable recommendations
- Support incident management and security documentation
- Ensure compliance with development policies and quality procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years’ experience in cybersecurity architecture, secure software development, and/or embedded security
- Proven leadership and team-management experience
- Strong hands-on knowledge of encryption, PKI, and authentication technologies
- Experience with dynamic/static code analysis and secure coding practices
- Understanding of network security and emerging threat vectors
- Experience working in regulated environments
- Excellent stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills
