Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Full-Time Line

Pay: HSE Pay Rates (2025)

We are currently recruiting a full-time Healthcare Assistant (HCA) for a long-term placement in an elderly care setting located in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. This role offers consistent hours and the opportunity to work as part of a committed care team supporting older adults.

We are seeking candidates who are flexible and able to commit to a regular shift pattern.

Role Details:

• Flexibility required to cover day and night shifts
• Shift patterns may include:
• Long days: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Short days: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM / 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Twilight shifts: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Requirements:

• Full QQI/FETAC Level 5 Healthcare Support qualification – all 8 modules completed (essential)
• Previous experience in an elderly care or healthcare setting (preferred)
• Willingness to complete a full compliance process, including:
• Garda Vetting
• 3 x Satisfactory References
• Occupational Health Clearance
• Online and Practical Training (up-to-date and certified)
• International Police Clearance (if applicable)
