The Chester Beatty is seeking to recruit a Head of Collections. This is an exciting opportunity as you will manage the Collections Team and be responsible for the development and delivery of the museum’s strategic priorities in relation to the collections and public engagement activities.

As the successful candidate, you will hold a postgraduate university degree in a relevant discipline or subject. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working at management level, in a museum or related sector, with a demonstrated understanding of the ethical issues associated with provenance and collections care is required.

The Chester Beatty team is very collaborative, and as such, excellent interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills as well as strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage a complex workload is required.

You will have strong IT skills and previous experience using collection management systems.

For your experience the role’s remuneration is at the Assistant Principal Officer Higher level.
