Maintenance Systems Specialist

We are seeking a Maintenance Systems Specialist to support a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing site by owning and optimising maintenance systems, data, and reporting.
This role is ideal for someone with a maintenance or craft background who has transitioned into a systems-focused role, and who prefers working with SAP-PM, master data, spare parts governance, and performance reporting rather than frontline maintenance execution.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance Systems & CMMS (Primary Focus)
- Own and optimise CMMS (SAP-PM) usage for the maintenance department.
- Act as the key point of contact for maintenance systems, data standards, and MRO processes.
- Ensure consistent use of SAP-PM across GMP areas in line with site and global standards.
- Support maintenance planning and scheduling through accurate system data.
- MRO, Spare Parts & Master Data
- Create, maintain and govern master data including spare parts, BOMs, and asset data.
- Support spare parts strategy, critical spares identification, and obsolescence management.
- Drive data accuracy to support planning, reliability, and compliance.
- Produce and analyse maintenance and MRO reports using SAP and Excel.
- Provide actionable insights to maintenance and engineering teams.
- Prepare system and performance data for daily tier meetings and reviews.
- Ensure all systems and data activities comply with cGMP and site procedures.
- Support deviations, change controls, document management, and training activities.
- Work closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and stores teams.
- Liaise with global maintenance or MRO stakeholders as required.
- Support continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives.
About You
This role suits a systems-oriented professional who understands maintenance operations but excels in data, structure, and reporting.
Requirements- Strong hands-on experience with SAP-PM or a similar CMMS.
- Trade, engineering, or technical qualification.
- Proven experience owning maintenance systems, master data, or MRO reporting.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills.
- Maintenance, engineering, or craft background with a systems/data focus.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices).
- High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline.
- Exposure to audits, inspections, or regulatory interactions.
- Experience supporting maintenance or reliability improvement initiatives.
