Cost Accountant - 2 Year Contract

On behalf of our client, Morgan McKinley is recruiting for a qualified Cost Accountant to join a large operational organisation on a 2-year fixed-term contract.

This role will support financial control, reporting, and forecasting activities across multiple cost areas, providing key financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

This position offers broad exposure across finance operations, strong stakeholder engagement, and the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making within a well-established organisation. • Monitor and analyse operational and overhead costs against budget and forecast.
• Prepare financial forecasts, variance analysis, and management reports.
• Review vendor and operational costs to ensure accurate reporting and allocation.
• Develop and maintain KPIs to support operational and financial performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilise SAP and Excel to analyse large datasets and deliver accurate reporting.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders across the business.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong SAP and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
