Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
The Youth & Community work role to include:You will be working with other leaders and volunteers as part of a team supporting the operation of our weekly youth clubs, interacting with young people aged 10 to 18.
The youth club team may also include junior leaders, including teens/TY students.
You will assist with youth club admin, maintenance of membership databases, registration of new members and new online booking systems.
You will participate in individual and team training programmes as required.
Other duties are varied and can include - Assisting with the setup and tidy up of activities/equipment, kitchen duties, preparation of food, milkshakes, Operation of tuckshop and handling cash. The ability to work as part of a team and be reliable are crucial.
Good computer/technology skills are needed for the administration work involved. Induction training will be provided for using databases, google forms, spreadsheets, mailing lists.Flexibility is essential as our clubs typically take place on weekday afternoons, and evenings.
Confidentiality is very important, as you will be working with young people’s personal information.
A commitment to supporting the needs of young people is important, as well as having good listening and observational skills.
Previous experience of working with young people, and being familiar with child safeguarding principles are desirable.
