Job Description

The role requires the ability to read workshop drawing and process stone, cutting and carving for conservation and monumental work. The job requires cutting to size, shaping stone either by hand or by saws, polishing and finishing stone to create structures and decorative elements like monuments, tombstones, and architectural pieces.

Building and repairing structures using stone, brick, or repair mortars as necessary, while cutting and shaping materials and other natural stones with specialized tools.

Job requirements

Stonecutting with the practical skills and techniques for shaping and preparing stone for construction.
Technical drawing & craft calculations, Fabrication and fixing, Lettering techniques, Stone carving.
