The Environmental Technician (WWTP) is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, company standards, and public health requirements. This role involves routine sampling, testing, equipment inspection, and process adjustments to optimize plant performance and protect the environment.

• Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) systems, including pumps, blowers, clarifiers, digesters, and chemical dosing systems.
• Conduct routine sampling and laboratory testing of influent, effluent, and sludge to verify compliance with permit requirements and environmental standards.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment plant equipment.
• Record and maintain accurate logs, reports, and data on plant performance and environmental compliance.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Safely handle, store, and use chemicals in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in environmental audits, inspections, and reporting to regulatory bodies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental protection.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills

Education & Certifications:

• Diploma in Environmental Technology, Water/Wastewater Treatment, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
