The Role
We are seeking a commercially driven Legal Recruitment Consultant to join our team, specialising in the legal market. This role will involve recruiting across all areas of legal, partnering with clients ranging from private practice firms to in-house legal teams.This position suits someone with strong business acumen, a passion for people, and a genuine interest in recruitment and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Candidate Management- Manage the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across a broad range of legal roles
- Proactively source high-calibre candidates using a variety of channels (database, networking, referrals, and market mapping)
- Conduct detailed candidate interviews, assessing both technical capability and cultural fit
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of legal talent across multiple disciplines
- Provide consultative guidance to candidates on market trends, salary expectations, and career development
- Deliver a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
- Manage interview processes, feedback loops, and offer negotiations efficiently
- Proactively identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the legal sector
- Build and grow a strong client base through consistent business development activity
- Develop trusted, long-term partnerships with key decision-makers in law firms and in-house teams
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry engagements to build market presence
- Understand client hiring needs and position Cpl as a strategic recruitment partner
- Negotiate terms of business and manage commercial agreements
- Drive revenue generation by successfully placing candidates and expanding client accounts
- Maintain a strong awareness of the legal market, competitors, and hiring trends
Requirements:
- Strong business experience (client-facing, commercial, or sales background)
- Legal degree or knowledge of the legal sector is desirable
- Experience in recruitment, sales, or professional services
- Clear interest in recruitment, sales, and business development
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Hybrid working model (2 days in office) Dublin 4 based
