As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a skilled, passionate, and reliable Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
The Chef de Partie will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen with efficiency and precision, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, the CDP plays a key role in delivering consistent excellence in food preparation and presentation in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and take full ownership of your designated kitchen section (e.g., pasta, grill, antipasti, pastry).
Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard in line with the restaurant’s recipes and presentation style.
Ensure mise en place is completed efficiently and to the required standard before service.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, complying with HACCP and food safety regulations at all times.
Assist with the training and mentoring of junior staff and commis chefs in your section.
Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal changes.
Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and plating during busy service.
Monitor stock levels and inform senior chefs of shortages or ordering needs.
Follow all kitchen systems and procedures, including waste management and allergen control.
Participate in regular cleaning schedules, deep cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a busy kitchen, preferably in fine dining or Italian cuisine.
Formal culinary training or relevant professional chef qualification.
Strong knowledge of Italian culinary techniques and ingredients is a distinct advantage (e.g., fresh pasta, risotto, regional Italian sauces).
Excellent knife skills and kitchen organisation.
Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, team spirit, and strong work ethic.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Fluent English communication skills.
