Insurance Customer Care Specialist

Location: Little Island, Co. Cork (Hybrid Working)
Salary: €28,750 per annum (with salary review after 12 months of service)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, business hours

About the Role

A long-established and highly reputable organisation within the Healthcare Insurance sector is currently seeking an Insurance Customer Care Specialist to join its growing team based in Little Island.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys delivering exceptional service, working in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to a high-performing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting existing, new, and prospective members while ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing a professional, empathetic, and efficient customer service experience via phone and email
  • Managing customer accounts, including processing policy documentation, amendments, and general insurance administration with a high level of accuracy
  • Acting as a key point of contact for member queries and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure seamless resolution of customer requests
  • Maintaining accurate customer records while ensuring full compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements
  • Working towards individual and team KPIs, supporting overall business and service objectives
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in customer service or administration (experience within insurance, healthcare, or financial services is an advantage but not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a confident, professional telephone manner
  • Comfortable working with internal systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high volume of queries
  • A positive attitude with a strong customer-first approach
