ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM:
The Product Owner (PO) for Intelligence & Insight is responsible for maximizing the business value in internal platform products delivered by Agile Scrum Teams. The PO has a strong technical and operational understanding of the product. As this is primarily an internal-facing role within the Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering (ICE) division, they work closely with the Product Director to understand the vision, while taking strategic direction from the Chief Platform Officer, as these products act as critical reliability instruments for the wider portfolio.
This role will initially focus heavily on establishing and managing our SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) capabilities, before expanding to own broader observability, centralized alerting, dashboards, and reliability analytics. The PO uses internal customer feedback plus their own experience to define what capabilities the product should deliver to help SITA's development teams meet their Production Readiness Standards and manage Error Budgets.
In order to deliver this value, the Product Owner works hand-in-glove with their Scrum Team on a daily basis to scrub the Product Backlog, create Features and User Stories, define Acceptance Criteria, set priorities, attend team stand-ups, accept the “Done” stories, and demo the work to the wider T&E developer community.Furthermore, the Product Owner will drive internal "Design Partner" programs, providing early versions of observability tooling to selected portfolio teams.

- Manages the Product Backlog and populates it with artifacts that provide the next level of detail to support the delivery of the roadmap.
- Specifies Functional requirements, Non-Functional Requirements & Acceptance Criteria.
- Responsible for discussing the features of the product, supporting the functional analysis of the backlog, and owns the Product roadmap.
- Knows the costs of a delivery (project or release) in the details and in real-time, supporting Cloud FinOps governance.
- Defines PI or Release time-boxes and MVP for a release.
- Works with the Scrum Team to define Sprint goals, attends Scrum team Daily Stand-ups, and attends Sprint Planning.
- Clarifies requirements for the team and attends demos from the team showing their work.
