Maintenance Technician
The successful Maintenance Technician will provide effective and efficient service in carrying out maintenance duties on mechanical, electrical, PLC, and instrumentation systems. This role requires a practical, flexible, and solutions-oriented professional with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, with a strong focus on reliability, safety standards and GMP.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform both reactive and planned maintenance across the site.Troubleshoot and repair plant and equipment as needed.
Conduct diagnostics and basic programming on equipment.
Troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider).
Support and maintain facilities equipment such as HVAC, compressed air systems, and refrigeration.
Execute preventative maintenance programs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or modifications.
Specific Duties:
Workshop tasks such as grinding and drilling.Work with various pipe systems – flanged, screwed, and welded.
Service pumps and motors, including seal changes and general repairs.
Carry out electrical and automation tasks – installations, troubleshooting, earth checks.
Perform instrumentation tasks – including calibration.
Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately documented.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Relevant trade qualification (Electrician, Fitter, or Engineering Degree)Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance technician role within a manufacturing environment (preferably pharmaceutical or food industry)
Experience in motor control systems, pneumatics, temperature control, and safety systems
Proficiency in computer-based systems (email, Word, Excel, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Solid awareness and understanding of Quality and Health, Environmental and Safety standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organisational and communication skills
Desirable Experience (Advantageous):
Calibration experienceExperience working in ATEX environments
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
