IT Category Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Category Manager for a high profile contract role within a large, complex, and highly regulated organisation.

This role will suit someone who is confident operating at pace, partnering with senior stakeholders and managing strategically important IT categories across a broad technology landscape.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies across major IT spend areas (e.g. infrastructure, applications, cloud, digital, cyber, professional services)
  • Lead complex sourcing and supplier negotiations, delivering commercial value and risk mitigation
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior technology and business stakeholders
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with robust governance, risk and regulatory standards
  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement and category management processes

About you:

  • Proven experience as an IT Category Manager within a large, enterprise environment
  • Strong background working in highly regulated, risk-aware organisations
  • Deep understanding of IT commercial models, contracts, and licensing
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • Comfortable managing complexity, ambiguity, and multiple priorities
