Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering, WWPS, utilities, and reinstatement projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Quantifying materials, labour, plant, and subcontract requirements
- Obtaining, analysing, and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Supporting tender submissions and commercial proposals
- Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams during tender and project handover
- Maintaining cost databases and historical pricing records
- Previous experience in an Estimator role within civil engineering or construction
- Experience in WWPS and/or wastewater infrastructure is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of reinstatement works and utilities projects
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities
- Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating software
- Engineering or construction-related qualification
- Experience working on frameworks or long-term utility contracts
- Familiarity with NEC or similar contract forms
