About the Role:We are seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join services on a contractor basis, specialising in autism assessments. You will conduct comprehensive assessments for children, adolescents, and adults across Dublin and the Midlands, providing evidence-based reports to families, schools, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using standardised tools and clinical judgement.
- Produce detailed, clear, and timely reports outlining assessment findings and recommendations.
- Liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies to support assessment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments.
- Contribute to best practice in autism assessment and support service development.
Essential Requirements:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Chartered membership with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
- Significant experience in conducting autism assessments across children, adolescents, and adults.
- Strong report-writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload.
- Full clean driver’s license and access to own transport (if required for travel between locations).
Desirable:
- Experience with standardised autism assessment tools (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R).
- Prior contractor/freelance experience.
- Familiarity with services in Dublin and the Midlands.
