Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business and bring strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and proven experience working in a fast-paced commercial environment.This is a great opportunity for a motivated finance professional who thrives in a high-growth, sustainability-driven industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently in Sage 200
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Performing bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures
- Perform monthly stock valuation & reconciliation
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing and analysing financial and management reports using advanced Excel functions
- Supporting credit control and liaising professionally with customers by phone and email
- Support VIES/INTRASTAT returns and Revenue compliance
- Dealing with Revenue online (ROS) and customs paperwork
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in accounts environment
- Sage 200 experience or other similar accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting).
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with native level fluency in English
- Ability to work independently and in a team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills are essential
- Third-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or ATI qualification
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA pathway)
- Experience supporting management accounts
