Role Overview:The Café Support Worker assists in the day-to-day operations of a community café, helping to create a welcoming and efficient environment for customers. This role is part of a Community Employment (CE) scheme, offering valuable work experience and skills development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in line with hygiene standards
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, service, and seating areas
- Support stock control, ordering, and basic food preparation
- Operate tills and handle cash responsibly (training provided)
- Follow health & safety and food safety procedures
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Hands-on experience in a café environment
- Training in food safety, customer service, and workplace skills
