Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Dealing with the public in a welcoming and courteous fashion.Operating the till system, issuing Museum tickets, handling cash and credit cards etc.
Answering the phone in a professional and polite mannerHanding out audio guides while explaining how they work to the visitors.
Organise guides and staff so that guided tours go on time.
Cleaning and maintaining Reception and Retail space in the Museum.
Receptionist will work between Bishops Palace Museum and Medieval Museum.
When reception is not busy people are expected to go upstairs and make sure that visitors are satisfied and are happy guiding themselves around the Museum
Waterford Treasures is open 7 days a week including bank holidays, staff need to be flexible
