Role Purpose:The OEM Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining machinery and equipment used in manufacturing processes. The role involves reading and interpret technical drawings, pneumatic, electric and hydraulic schematics, and specifications, and ensuring that all components are correctly fitted and aligned.
The OEM Fitter works to ensure that equipment is installed and maintained to meet high standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly and Installation:Fit, assemble, and install machinery and equipment components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and drawings.
Ensure the proper alignment and functioning of parts, ensuring machines operate efficiently and safely.
Assemble and integrate automation systems including electric/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic components;Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.Replace damaged or worn-out parts.
Quality Control: Ensure all equipment and machinery meet quality and safety standards.
Conduct quality control checks and tests to verify that equipment is functioning as expected.Report any defects or potential problems to the supervisor or manager.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to discuss installation and fitting requirements.
Assist in the design and modification of equipment when necessary.Collaborate with the team to suggest improvements and modifications to assembly processes.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of assembly procedures, parts used, and work completed.
Maintain logs of maintenance and repair activities.
Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards while fitting, assembling, and maintaining machinery.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe working environment.- Sector:
