We are recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to support a busy healthcare facility in Dublin 10, playing a key role in food preparation, hygiene and daily kitchen operations that support safe, reliable meal service for patients and staff.
This role is ideal for candidates with kitchen assistant, catering assistant or food service experience who want consistent daytime work and long-term opportunities within healthcare catering jobs in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with food preparation, basic plating and meal service support
Maintain high hygiene standards across kitchens, workstations, equipment and utensilsFollow HACCP, food safety and infection control procedures at all times
Support stock handling, food labelling and stock rotation in line with food safety standards
Assist catering teams with daily kitchen and canteen operations
Support waste management and recycling procedures
Work collaboratively with chefs, catering assistants and supervisors to ensure smooth service
Requirements: 6–12 months’ experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Catering Assistant or in food service
Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standardsLegal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references
Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a healthcare kitchen environment
Good communication skills and a strong team-focused approach
Availability for daytime shifts across a rotating roster
Salary & Benefits: €17.53 per hour
Double Pay on Sundays and Bank HolidaysDaytime shifts only, typically between 7:00am and 6:30pm
