Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Caretaker – Kingscourt Community Centre
This Community Employment (CE) position involves some day-to-day cleaning and janitorial duties within Kingscourt Community Centre Sports Hall. You will help ensure that the venue is maintained to a high standard, supporting the many community groups and activities that take place there and ensure that all community facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
Duties include:- General cleaning and upkeep of the halls and facilities
- Taking bookings and inputting them on to the booking system
- Setting up and tidying away equipment for events and activities
- Occasional light maintenance tasks and minor repairs as needed
- Supporting the overall smooth operation of the centre
As part of the Community Employment Programme, you will also have access to accredited training and a structured Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to support both your personal and professional development while on the scheme.
