This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance.Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
During the placement you will assist with general administrative support to ensure the smooth day to day operation of SocoLab.
You will be fully supervised, supported and trained in assisting with routine office tasks, helping to prepare basic materials for internal and external communications, and supporting the organisation of events and launches held within SocoLab.
The role may also involve occasional assistance with social media updates or promotional materials using tools such as Canva, as part of broader administrative responsibilities.
The eligible participant will receive full training in all aspects of the placement. There will be a mentor to guide and coach the participant.
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
Formal TrainingManual handling training.
VDU training.
20 hours minimum training in administrative training (possibly including ICT, sales assistance) delivered through ecollege.ie, with programmes being chosen in consultation with the successful candidate having regard to areas where they would benefit from upskilling
