Cleaning Operative – Dublin 10 | Healthcare Cleaning job
We are recruiting a Cleaning Operative to work in a healthcare facility in Dublin 10, supporting daily cleaning and hygiene standards across the site.
This role involves maintaining cleanliness in communal and clinical areas, supporting infection control procedures and contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for residents, patients and staff. The role may also include light catering support duties as required.
Job Details:Location: Dublin 10
Contract: Temporary / Agency
Hours: Part-time – 27 hours per week
Work pattern: 3 days per week
Roster: Monday to Sunday
Shift pattern: Daytime shifts (typically 8:00am – 6:00pm)
Pay: €17.53 per hour
Main Duties: Clean and maintain communal, residential and clinical areas
Prepare rooms for new residents, ensuring cleanliness and readinessClean and sanitise high-touch surfaces in line with infection control standards
Handle waste disposal safely and follow site procedures
Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages
Follow daily cleaning schedules and respond to urgent cleaning requests
Support light catering duties when required
Work as part of a team to maintain a safe healthcare environment
Requirements: 6–12 months’ experience in professional cleaning or similar role
Understanding of hygiene, health and safety and infection control practicesAbility to work independently and as part of a team
Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references
Flexibility to work weekends and Bank Holidays as required
Pay and Conditions: €17.53 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank HolidaysDaytime working hours
