Are you an experienced Process Engineer looking to make an impact in a high-volume, regulated manufacturing environment?This is an exciting opportunity to join a global medical device manufacturer supplying critical components to leading healthcare brands worldwide.
As a Process Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing, optimising, and supporting manufacturing processes for both new and existing products, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes using Design of Experiments (DOE) and other analytical tools.
- Provide technical input for new product introduction, focusing on design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost.
- Lead or support validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) for equipment and processes.
- Troubleshoot process or equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Design and specify tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support production needs.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, maintenance, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians.
- Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Biomedical, or Plastics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a process or manufacturing engineering role within a high-volume environment - ideally in medical devices or other regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of automation, ultrasonic welding, and process development techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or 3D design software an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
