Reports to: Financial Controller
Role Purpose:The Financial Analyst will support hotel Finance operations through reporting, analysis, and control, helping management decision-making with insightful financial data. This role combines exposure to daily finance functions with development in analytics, forecasting, and system improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and update daily/monthly revenue reports, highlighting trends and variances.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews with senior managementSupport month-end processes including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
Develop and enhance financial models and Excel-based reporting tools.
Perform daily income audits, ensuring correct recording of sales and investigating discrepancies.
Reconcile cash, card, and electronic payments, maintaining effective internal controls.
Address issues of revenue recognition and propose action plans.
Process supplier invoices, reconcile accounts, and prepare paymentsAssist in debtor management, invoicing, and aged debt reviews.
Partner with department managers to analyse operational performance.
Prepare financial presentations and management reports.
Participate in system/process improvements (Opera, Micros, Procure Wizard, Excel)Carry out ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Support internal audit, compliance, and group financial reporting.
Skills & Qualifications: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with hotel finance systems preferred (Opera, Micros, Procure Wizard)Analytical, detail-oriented, and a team player.
Excellent communication skills across teams.
Commitment to a professional qualification (CFA, ACA, ACCA) desirable.
Hospitality finance/accounting experience a plus.
