Valentia Nursing Home Limited is looking for reliable and empathetic Heath Care Assistants. Successful candidates will work under direct supervision of Nurses to deliver high-quality person-centered care to meet the needs of our residents.

Contract Type: Full-time

Working hours - 39 per Week

Wages – € 30000/ Annum

Responsibilities and duties:-

Contribute to and enhance the quality of resident activities and events.

Assist the nurse in the delivery of personal and clinic care to the residents.

Support the nursing staff in the organising of day-to-day allocation of work.

Enabling and assisting residents to eat/drink while promoting physical comfort Promoting the mobility of residents, and assisting where necessary to help residents

Assisting residents to maintain high levels of personal appearance and hygiene Getting to know the residents personally to provide support and companionship

Assisting with the upkeep of high levels of cleanliness within the home.

Any other duties deemed necessary by Nurse in charge and management.

Qualifications required.

FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare or equivalent Experience working in a healthcare environment (with a good knowledge of HIQA standards) preferable Have an outgoing, friendly, and caring personality with excellent communication skills Reliable and professional

Can work independently or part of a team Have a strong desire to support people.
