Automation Technician - 12 Month FTC

Location: Dublin, Leinster

The Role

As an Automation Technician, you will:

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automation systems, including robotics, assembly machinery, label applicators, tooling, separators, and test equipment.
• Ensure automation lines achieve performance and output targets through data analysis and corrective action.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on production efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Carry out equipment modifications, engineering change requests, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with machine safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with engineering teams, shift leads, and production staff to minimise downtime and optimise performance.

• Qualification in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar).
• 3+ years' experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharma, or food/FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of automation systems and machine safety.
• Experience with CMMS systems and PLC systems.
• Familiarity with quality systems (GMP, ISO, FDA QSR) is a strong advantage.
