Operation and Maintenance Technician New

Cpl are currently hiring an Operation and Maintenance BCD Technician for our client site in Leixlip.

This client offers specialized services in managing gases, chemicals and slurries, where their technicians and engineers provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments.

This is a shift position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform as L2 technician in BCD.
• Lead PMs and CMs on variety of BCDS systems.
• Perform BCDS administrative functions.
• Monitor paging and alarm response.
• Perform pre-flights on BCDS systems as required.
• Perform rounds and readings on BCDS systems including 15XX model CDM’s (Chemical Delivery Modules) and Blenders.
• Perform troubleshooting and error recovery functions on the 15XX model CDM’s and associated systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on the 15XX model CDM’s
• Pump/ Pulse Dampener changes, Filter Changes, Valve Changes, Pipework replacement, Flow Meters, Pressure Regulators, Aspirators, Pressure Vacuum Vessels, etc.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on the Chemical Valve Boxes.
• Perform Chem On/Off requests from tool owners as requested.
• Perform dip tube exchange on required chemicals.
• Set up LPC and mobile carts on 15XX model CDM’s.
• Troubleshoot Field I/O Panels and Power Distribution Panels for BCDS systems.
• Support requests from engineering and tool owners.
• Communicate with engineering on troubleshooting operations.
• Perform ad hoc sampling as required on BCDS systems.
• Perform ad hoc drum changes as required on BCDS systems.
• Perform Titrations as required.
• Decontamination and stripping of pumps and dampeners.
• Correctly dispose of any hazardous waste generated in BCDS areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum: Leaving Certificate with 10+ years of work-related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS Degree in engineering, chemical science discipline or related area of study and 2+ years of work-related experience.

• Ideally 4+ years’ experience in a semiconductor/ chemical/ manufacturing setting
• Experience with chemical and/or gas delivery systems in ultra-high purity operation.
• Understanding of safe work practices and experience in lockout, tag out projects.
• Experience in MAXIMO or other maintenance database systems
• Proficient in MS applications - SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PDF
• Safety champion
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Technical aptitude to identify parts needed for a replacement or repair.
• Ability to read flow transmitters, pressure transducers, understand units of measure and use precision measuring equipment.
• Understand materials of construction and chemical compatibility
• Awareness to identify and report unsafe work conditions
• Excellent teamwork and people skills
• Problem solving and root cause analysis (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
• Continuous improvement champion

• 75% of time walking throughout the facility (3-6 miles per day).
• Climbing of ladders up to 12-foot-tall (utilizing fall protection).
• Basic lifting (up to 40lbs).
• Bending of the knees and overhead reaching.
