Relief Social Care Workers – Children in Care

FRS Recruitment is looking for compassionate and dedicated Social Care Workers to work within well-established mainstream services in Co. Dublin.

Duties:

• Support the young person in their day – to – day activities and all that entails.
• Build a positive rapport with both the young people and staff in the house to assist with the smooth running of the service.
• Assist young people to develop their skills and enhance self-esteem, resilience and individual responsibility.
• Accompany the young person to appointments, family access visits etc.
• Assist with the general upkeep of the residential service.
• To encourage and assist the young people to maintain contact with their families, where appropriate, and in accordance with their placement plan.
• All other tasks as outlined by your manager.

To be a successful candidate you will have:

• A minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care
• Registered with CORU
• Minimum 1 years’ experience working with young people and children in care
• The ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
• A calm, empathetic approach
• Irish working rights and currently based in Ireland due to immediate start
