We are currently recruiting for a Senior Automation Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. You will be joining the specialist site engineering team to be based in Co. Cavan.

- Oversee all plant automation systems.
- Maintain and manage all aspects of the Plant Batching System, manufacturing communication network, and Predictive Control System.
- Oversee maintenance of Medium Voltage Equipment.
- Manage Manufacturing UPS Systems.
- Monitor and analyse trends in OSI PI, SCADA, etc.
- Consult and adhere to any relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tasks, ensuring full understanding and compliance.
- Plan and schedule work according to plant demand and available workforce.
- Ensure all employees and contractors are fully familiar with safety rules and regulations.
- Strive to reduce product costs by improving efficiency.
- Ensure no faults occur; if they do, make necessary adjustments and conduct checks until the issue is resolved.
- Coordinate CAPA investigations that impact Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent discipline.
- 5+ years relevant experience in Automation engineering.
- Experience working with siemens PLCs is essential.
- Experience working on ignition (scada) would be highly advantageous advantage.
