A leading hospital network is seeking to hire an experienced Business Manager with a Clinical background to join its executive management team and support the General Manager in ensuring the efficient, effective, and high-quality delivery of services across associated clinical and business areas.

The successful candidate will be the executive lead with responsibility for ensuring that the network meets performance KPIS, performance management, strategic development, service planning, and operational improvement, bringing innovation, insight, and accountability to a multifaceted healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across associated services.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, performance metrics, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Lead business planning, service development, and KPI achievement across the network.
  • Responsibility for the implementation of the five year operational plan and the annual business plan.
  • Creating structures of accountability for teams and devising operational policies, practices and procedures to minimise costs and raise standards.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and the development of the Business Intelligence function.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe, effective, and efficient patient care. Developing partnerships with external stakeholders and acting as a spokesperson for the organisation as required.

Requirements:

  • Significant operational and strategic leadership experience at a senior level in a similar healthcare setting.
  • Proven successful experience facilitating change management projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospital clinical and business processes with a strong emphasis on capacity management, cost efficiency and effectiveness and lean processing.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and HIQA standards as well as quality and safety systems.
  • Excellent leadership skills in a challenging and busy environment, showing a record of innovation and improvement. With strong people management experience.
  • Significant experience of successful service/business planning
  • Experience of managing and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to achieve a high standard of excellence and performance improvement.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
