Job Description

This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. The participant will gain practical experience in:

Drift Coffee will give an opportunity to someone to gain experience and learn the day to day running of a busy environment. Under guidance and support the participant will, • Assist in day-to-day operations of grab-and-go coffee shop
  • Assist in the serving of coffee, tea, and light beverages to order
  • Assist with food prep for light snacks, pastries, and grab-and-go items
  • Be trained how to Greet customers, take orders, and process payments
  • Learn how to maintain cleanliness of front-of-house, prep areas, and equipment
  • They will be mentored in how to restock supplies, monitor inventory, and assist with opening/closing tasks
  • Ensure smooth service during busy periods with a hands-on, flexible attitude
  • Assist the team during setup and launch of the new café

Role Description

This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.

This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
