Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Carna, Co. Galway

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join a 51-bed nursing home with assisted living facilities located in Carna, Co. Galway. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, person-centred environment.

Carna is a scenic rural village situated on the rugged west coast of Connemara, approximately 80 km from Galway City. The area offers a peaceful lifestyle surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes. Due to the rural location, candidates must have their own transport.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration
• Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in nursing management, preferably in a nursing home or aged care setting
• Sound knowledge of HIQA Standards and relevant legislation
• Leadership or management qualification desirable (e.g., QQI Level 6 in Management)
• Postgraduate nursing leadership qualification is an advantage
• Own transport required
