An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Chemical Engineer to join a leading manufacturing facility based in Limerick. The Role
As Senior Chemical Engineer, you will take ownership of a key area within the production process, ensuring consistent performance, reliability, and quality output. You'll act as a technical lead for your section, supporting both production and maintenance teams, identifying process improvements, and driving operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on, technically focused role requiring initiative, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently within a structured and safety-driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and optimise performance within an assigned area of the production process.
- Monitor and analyse process data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimisation activities.
- Contribute to projects involving process upgrades, commissioning, and new equipment.
- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Degree-qualified in Chemical Engineering (essential).
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a process or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision.
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, bio/pharma, alumina, or general process industries is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Permanent, full-time position based in Limerick.
