Laboratory Manager – Chemistry New

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Cashel is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager – Chemistry to lead and develop the Chemistry Laboratory.

This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Senior Quality Director / Qualified Person.

• Lead and manage a high-performing Chemistry Laboratory team.
• Oversee testing processes, lab infrastructure, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage method and specification change controls, investigations, and technical transfers.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contract labs to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Act as the key contact for laboratory-related regulatory interactions.
• Support strategic growth and development of the site’s quality control capabilities.
• Develop next-level leadership within QC/ARD teams and drive operational excellence.
• Identify and implement process improvements, optimise resources, and monitor KPIs.

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry (essential).
• 10+ years’ experience in a pharmaceutical chemistry lab, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of lab operations, GMP compliance, and business processes.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Experience conducting internal audits and managing change controls.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
