Stores Person - Kilrush
About the role
We have two exciting opportunities for the role of Store Person in our Kerry Agribusiness Team in Kilrush, Co. Clare.
One position is on a permanent contract, and the other is a 12-months fixed-term contract. Working hours are from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, and from 08:30 to 13:00 on Saturdays.
As a Store Person, you will play a dynamic role, facing new challenges and opportunities every day. Your duties will include assisting customers, managing stock, and completing various store responsibilities. You will be supported by both your local store team and the larger company team, contributing to sales and ensuring product and service quality.Previous experience in sales, customer service, or roles like warehouse operative, forklift driver, store operative, or stock controller is advantageous. Familiarity with the agriculture sector is also beneficial. Training will be provided in product handling, forklift operation, manual handling, and chemical safety.
What will I be doing?- Serving customers and dealing with product enquiries, both face to face and on the phone. Handling cash.
- Merchandising products in the store and yard.
- Keeping customers data safe and secure.
- Managing stock and deliveries. Keeping stock records in Oracle.
- Housekeeping within the store.
- Forklift duties - loading and unloading products like animal feeds, fertilizers, store goods.
- Following health and safety guidelines.
- Supporting store manager and other team members.
What do I need to be successful?

These include:
- Great communication and customer service skills are required.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organisational, analytical, problem solving and administrative skills.
- A team player with a strong desire for continuous learning and a desire to grow professionally.
- Knowledge of agriculture products is desirable.
- Computer skills (Oracle, Outlook, Excel etc.) are desired, but training will be provided if necessary.
- Forklift training, manual handling, and chemical training will be provided during induction, but experience is beneficial.
