Live-in Couple - Estate Manager/Groundsman and Housekeeper - Kildare

These are very hands-on roles and would not be a good fit for someone who prefers an administrative or managerial position.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideally a minimum of three years' experience working as a couple in similar roles with at least two years in the same employment.
• Excellent references from every position held.
• A full, clean driving licence.
• A love of animals, especially horses and dogs.
• Ideally four/five star hotel housekeeping experience.
• Previous estate management and groundskeeping experience is essential especially in relation to estate maintenance and management, care of animals and gardening.
• Detailed knowledge of health and safety regulations related to garden and estate maintenance.

DUTIES:

• Full time hours
• approximately 45 Hours per week
• some flexibility
• All housework to the highest standard.
• Laundry and ironing and preparing beds and bedroom to a five star finish.
• Preparing the house for the family's arrival.
• Shopping, provisions, stock control, etc.
• Assisting with guests and entertaining.
• Maintaining and overseeing the estate.
• Overseeing all machinery and equipment including servicing, repairs, procurement, etc.
• General care of animals.
• Logging and stacking and chain saw use to provide logs for the house.
• Hedge cutting, some gardening, grass cutting, weeding, etc.
• Machine maintenance including fuelling, tyre checking, oil changes, etc.
• Repairing walls, fences, water supply management,
• Keeping grounds tidy.
