Moulding Process Engineer
My client, a global design and manufacturing organisation is looking to recruit a Moulding Process Engineer. The primary function of the Moulding Process Engineer is to assume responsibility for the control and management of all process driven systems within the Injection Moulding department and direct daily activities in accordance with Company policies.The Moulding Process Engineer will report to the Moulding Production Manager.
Responsibilities:
- New tool debug, set up and validation
- Process optimisation using DOE and Statistical Methodology
- Responsible for control of overall quality, process capability, and associated documentation
- Troubleshooting of process, equipment and systems problems using sound engineering principles and data driven decisions
- Provide training and support to Production Technicians
- Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Promote and practice a culture of integrity, ethics and compliance with laws and policies
- Collaborate across organisational boundaries
Requirements:
- Degree level qualification in Polymer Science or another relevant Engineering discipline and/or proven equivalent experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role
- Sound analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using a variety of moulding machine types and associated ancillary equipment
- Role will have a shift-based contract
- Creative thinking
- Excellent organisational skills
- Effective Communication and Teamwork skills
- Strong Analysis and Decision Making ability
